Renegade Steel Buildings New Corporate Headquarters
We are happy to announce the opening of our new Corporate Headquarters located in Commerce Georgia. When Renegade Steel Buildings was founded in 2010, we started in a small leased sales office. As the business took off, we quickly realized there was going to be a need for a larger facility to accommodate growth and additional sales offices. An existing building in Hoschton, GA was purchased and became our home for roughly 10 years. We had many good years there, but we had filled every office and there was the need again to have more space. This go around, the decision was made to build a facility that would not only be home to Renegade, but would also have retail space available to lease. With that in mind, many hours were spent creating a layout for an optimal environment for our team. More than merely a place to work, the idea was to create an attractive building to complement the style and architecture of some of the buildings near our new location.
Using a Steel Building for our space
It should go without saying that we would use a Renegade Steel Building for our new office. In this case, we are using a purpose built 98'x132' single slope building with a column in the middle. Since the offices and retail space can encase the columns in the walls, this makes for a more economical solution reducing the load on the rafters. Most of the buildings we sell are clear span, but in an office/retail environment, it is a good idea to consider utilizing interior columns.

Much thought was put into the exterior look of the building. With the variety of features and finishes, it was decided to utilize the steel building frame and roof only. All of the exterior walls were constructed by the general contractor. To accommodate those walls and openings, portal frames were used on the front and back sidewalls along with spandrel beams around the perimeter to provide lateral support. The endwalls also feature parapets above the roof line to enhance the look of the building. On the front of the building, Parapets were utilized along with the creation of towers and bump outs to create the dramatic visual appeal desired.

Our office now features many windows allowing plenty of natural light into most of the offices. In addition, the individual offices feature interior windows allowing for a very open feeling even when doors need to be closed for conversations. This gives us 10 individual offices for account managers (with options for future expansion), a corner office for the general manager and a common area for printers and media. All of these office open into a common area that allows for easy communication between the account managers.
Renegade's corporate HQ also has a variety of administrative and executive offices as well as a customer conference room and an employee conference room with attached kitchen. We feel that we have created a comfortable working environment.
Last, but not least, is our patio. Renegade Steel Buildings is more than just a company, it's a family to those of us that work here. It is not uncommon to have a cookout on our large grill so that we can all share a little food and fellowship together. Our patio gives us a great space to grill out no matter what the weather. It also serves as a good spot to just take a break and get some fresh air.
