Large Steel Buildings can be used for just about anything from auto service centers, to warehouses and anything in between. The term "large" can have different meanings depending on what your needs are. 50x100, or 5,000 square feet may be more than enough room for a small warehouse, but 10,000 sq ft (100x100) or more may be needed for an industrial production facility. We have many customers with 40,000, 50,000, 100,000 square foot and larger buildings.

If your a business owner looking to expand your operation or get into your own building, we understand that the numbers have to work for you. The cost of the building and construction play a pivotal role in the ROI calculations on the building you need. That obviously leads to the first question which is "How much does a large steel building cost"?
There are many factors that determine the cost of a steel building not the least of which is the wind and snow load based on your location. Width, length and height are the other determining factors. These variables make it difficult to just give a "rough number" when it comes to the price of a steel building.

Additional Work Space
This customer was looking to expand their production facility and needed room for their custom woodworking stations. They went with a 75x100x12 building to give them 7,500 of additional space.
Industrial Warehouse & Office
Opening a brand new facility, our customer was looking for a solution for a multi span environment for production and warehouse, but also an additional are to use as their office.
The main building is 252x150x18'6" with liner panels, 12x40 mezzanine, framed openings for windows, doors, and fans, and support for a crane by others. The office is 101x40x13 single slope with brick walls by others.
As you can see from these buildings, we can accommodate a variety of size requirements. While the majority of our buildings are clear span, many of the Large Steel Buildings utilize a multi-span setup to help reduce cost. Width and length are not the only areas we can work with you on, we can also handle your needs when it comes to building height as well.
Large Metal Buildings
Sometimes it is the height of a building that makes a difference in what the customer needs. In this building, the customer needed a very high clearance under the roof. This 120x160x45 (19,200 sq ft) building gives them the space needed for all their productions.
Some of our customers have additional special requirements for their building such as a crane. This 66x100x24'6" building was configured with support for a 7.5 ton crane supplied by others. The taller eave height allowed for the crane rail and trolley to clear under the haunch.
Automotive Center
This automotive service center features a 80x125x16 large steel building for the service area and an additional 30x45x12 building for their office. With 10,000 square feet of clear floor space, they are able to have multiple lifts and still have space for cars that don't require a lift. The front of this building was also accentuated with a 4' brick wainscot by others.

What makes a Renegade Steel Building Different?
PBR panels standard
“PBR” stands for Purlin Bearing Rib. While others may use a standard panel, Renegade uses the “PBR” panel on the roof and walls of our buildings. This gives the system rigidity and weathertightness. Other profiles are available with the purlin bearing system.
Long Life Screws
Renegade’s long-life, self drilling fasteners are cast aluminum zinc with a EPDM sealing washer help enforce the finish warranties and ensure a long lasting, rust free building. We include these on both the roof and walls.
Formed Base Trim
The base of our buildings uses formed base trim. This heavier gauge, one piece system installs quicker and reduces the possibility of problems seen with 2 piece systems as well as supporting your manufacturers warranty on wall panels.
Factory Welded Clips
Clips for the roof purlins and wall girts are factory located and welded saving you time when erecting your building.
Framed Openings
One other BIG difference in a Renegade building is that whenever a customer wants a window, we always include a framed opening. This provides a sturdy and secure structure for the window to attach to. It also provides a better fit for weather tightness. Other companies may take the cheap approach and just sell a window that simply screws into the wall panel.
